ABC Food Law Enforcement has been supporting local authority officers since 2002.
Our story
ABC Food Law Enforcement was established in 2002 to provide specialist training and resources for local authority food law enforcement officers across the UK. Over more than two decades, we have built a reputation for practical, authoritative content that officers can apply directly in their day-to-day enforcement work. Our training covers the full breadth of UK food law — from food hygiene inspections and official sampling to labelling enforcement and import controls.
Our mission
We believe that well-trained enforcement officers are the foundation of a safe food supply. Our mission is to make high-quality, up-to-date food law enforcement training accessible to every local authority officer in the UK — regardless of their team size or budget.
Meet the trainer
Dr Andy Bowles
Lead Trainer & Director
Dr Andy Bowles has over 25 years of experience in food law and food safety. He has worked with local authorities, government agencies, and food businesses across the UK, and is a recognised expert in food law enforcement training. Andy leads all webinars and course development at ABC Food Law Enforcement.
